Photo Feature 9

Hello Everyone!
I hope everyone is doing well and are safe from the Pandemic. My city is under lockdown (only allowed to go to certain stores deemed essential otherwise must be at home). Been working on some photos, doing furniture restoration so it hasn't been a terrible experience. Since I am self employed and work with companies/individuals based on their needs I have had to put all my projects on hiatus that I could not finish so like many Americans, the pandemic has created a disruption on work income. We are all on this together and now more than ever Compassion and Kindness will get us through this. On to the Feature!

Photographer Highlight
This week's photographer highlight is someone who is one of the most impressive still life/conceptual photographers I have seen. This Entry's Highlight is dinabelenko.
Dina has been on DA for seven years, and has posted an impressive 911 deviations. I must admit, I have never seen a photographer be able to capture such a strong and magical narrative in still life subjects like Dina can. Looking at her body of work, the use of blue, red, green and dashes of yellow are prominent and threaded to create a complete cohesiveness. (The colors that are dominant in the Technicolor 3 strip process) While her subject content appears to have minimalism aesthetic, the shear complexity of each photo stays subtle. Her work is beyond aesthetically pleasing and gives off a surreal/fantasy emotion to the viewer. The worlds she creates with inanimate objects (and the occasional human extremity) is full of wonder that it is the perfect antidote to the events taking place in our reality. Thank you Dina for contributing to the DA photography community and allowing us to be part of the magical world you have created. I am completely inspired by your work.

Photo Feature 8 and Update

Hey Everyone,
Wow it's been a minute since I did a feature. My apologies, with the virus I have had to finish and postpone many projects I was working on in case of a complete lockdown. I hope everyone is remaining calm especially with how things have escalated just within a week.
I would also like to reach out our community members, specifically those who live in Italy. My family came from Tuscany to the States and still have many family members still there so this hits closer to home for me. We are all thinking about you and we hope you are doing well. If you can, please just comment and let us know if you need anything, how you are doing, anything you are willing to share to let us know how you are doing.
